Radiant Valley

Inspired by a much smaller single session plein air sketch, I was inspired to go larger en plein air to capture the subtle warm hues that flooded the distant hills and the varying greens describing the topography of the landscape. Completed over two sessions, the first focusing on the light on the background hills (aided by my first plein air sketch) and foreground with the sheep, the second session focused on the topography and temperature shifts of the mid-ground.
