Hidden Falls Near Moon Pass

I came across these falls while exploring the area around Moon Pass in north Idaho. The forests here are dry in the summer, but there are small pockets of lush ferns and mosses around waterfalls. Discovering this one was a highlight from my adventures last summer. It’s tucked out of view behind large rock cliffs, but I could hear the water and made my way into the depths of this rocky bowl, climbing over rocks and downed trees. It’s an incredible place with large rock slabs cantilevered overhead and multiple trickles of water coming down into the pools.
