I was inspired one evening by the way my dog, Leroy, was laying by the fireplace to capture his portrait as he was sleeping. I was drawn to the composition and the sweet expression on my dog's face. Using my oil paints, I wanted to capture his likeness and feeling from that moment with brush strokes.
