Reaching the mighty Briksdal glacier in Norway, my homeland, was the goal, but my encounter with the surrounding mountain mist created by waterfalls, rivers and streams along the way was a spiritual experience. This feeling, as we slowly climbed toward the source, is what I wanted to express in my painting.
