The repetitive nature of salty splashes against the dark rocky jetty is mesmerizing and hypnotic. Locating oneself nearby to paint, although pleasurable and satisfying, requires a deftness of mobility as the tide comes in and the rogue nature of waves becomes an apparent reality.
