The Mandolin Player

I painted this mostly in one day from a live model in a class. I originally planned to add color but preferred my sepia monotone using transparent oxide red, ultramarine blue and white. FYI, I did NOT receive any instruction. I often go to my portrait classes so that I can paint the model without having to pay for one myself. In addition, I have no space to set up a model in my house. As for the pose, I choose where I'm going to position myself and how much of the model I'm going to paint. This is NOT a paint along.
