Street Corner In Santiago.11

This a photo was taken by my nephew on a visit to Santiago with a school group. He sent me three images. All three attracted me and I held on to them in my resources folder. I decided to paint this particular image first. The colors, light, shadows and over all mood called to be painted. I did take liberties with the sky, giving it a vibrant blue with no gradation. I used a mix of ultramarine, cobalt blue and a touch of thalo blue. This painting sold at a show in Virgina.
