Lake Pupuke Reeds

A slightly cool morning in Auckland NZ. The location was lake Pupuke which is a large and deep fresh water lake close to the Sea. The depth of the lake makes the water look green in the cool early morning light. I used oil paint and cold wax to achieve a luminosity in the colour.
