The Dance of The Leaves.

I have always enjoyed capturing Nature. My first works with colored pencils were always botanical: mushrooms, fruits, Medicinal plants. A couple of years ago, I felt the drive to paint those themes again, and I discovered by chance a tree surrounded by ivy. I spent around two hours taking photographs until I was able to capture the perfect one, which conveyed freshness and peace. I started working on that piece in Bulgaria, a year ago, studying how to deal with the texture of the tree, the ivy leaves. Due to other working commitments, I couldn’t progress very much with it, but during the Covid-19 lockdown I managed to find the required time to complete it. I am very happy with the final result.
