Watercolor on Arches 140 lb Cold Press. Building forts is one of the most fun simple childhood comforts you can have. I built each layer darker and darker as it dried on the paper. I wanted to create the high contrast of the flashlight bouncing off the page and illuminating the two boys faces. It was very challenging and fun at the same time to create this scene with watercolor.
