Bougainvillea

I love this plant! But I don't think it likes me very much! It sports some mean needles that'll keep you at arm's length. T really desired to capture the beauty and strength of this impressive plant. I did so with the watercolor medium. And as the seasons change to warm, the colors do as well. I used creamy paints to convey the strength of the hues as I find that the brightness and deep values of it are mesmerizing. They are hard to miss even in a desert full of new blossoms!
