This is liquitex heavy body on gessobord - begun on site and finished in the studio. It was a dreary afternoon when I set out to this nice little pond in Ft. Miller, NY to do an autumn flat light study. After working for about an hour it started to rain causing me to work from under my umbrella. Then suddenly the sun broke out for just enough time for me to take a photo, and to change my mind about the flat light study.
