Out of the Woods

I did a lot of Western Art when I was younger and at times I enjoyed doing some wildlife. Growing up in Bozeman, Montana and only a couple of hours drive from Yellowstone Park..I became enthralled and familiar with a lot of wildlife ..that and going to Glacier Park really got me to fall in love with these beautiful animals.
This painting was from a photo of the elk and I just made up most of the surrounding background.
