Lone Tree, Tides In
Lone Tree, Tides In is a landscape created off the west coast of British Columbia. It is a metaphor for be alone, thriving and at risk of surviving, when the big tides come in and surround the small mound of hard rock. The lone tree symbolizes the hard work of finding roots, clinging to its home ground, however temporary, bravely and with persistence. The tree could be a single person, the tides could what may sweep that person away, knock them down....the tides could be love, could be grief. The skies are blue, the clouds playfully puffy, which are supposed to brighten that little tree's day.
