FIRST WHEELS: (Inspiration)
I remember coming home as a young girl after school and finally being able to cast my books aside and go outside to ride my bike until mom called us in for supper. My world was safe and unencumbered. We didn’t have much, but the things we did were precious. I recall my beloved dog always by my side; she was my constant companion in all my adventures. Nothing can replace the carefree, sweet childhood memories; discovering so much, and being able to dream big!
For me, it was a joy to paint this landscape outdoors, in nature; with the cool breeze, surrounded by the sounds and smells. My small dog, 'Cozette' is featured alongside me. She was my beloved Papillon, whom I miss dearly. The world was a safer place for children growing up. It saddens me to see the violence that has erupted in our country. I worked as an early childhood educator, a pre-kinder and kindergarten teacher and am now retired. Thanks for allowing me to enter my work.
