These are the old water towers of the Falck steelworks in my city, Sesto San Giovanni, near Milan. Unfortunately the factories have been closed for more than 30 years, but the towers have remained to guard the city, as in my childhood. Part of the drawing is from life, part from old photographs. Sennelier soft pastels and Carbothello and Caran d'Ache pastel pencils on Pastelmat paper.
