Patterns, Still Life in Copper
As an artist, I am fascinated with reflections. I love painting still water with the reflecting sky while I also find portraits with mirrors symbolic. This painting is intended to create something fascinating and yet simple with different items in daylight. The idea of placing things on a mirror was extremely tempting and it proved to look intriguing with the window to outside practically reflected right on a table, underneath the copper and brass teapot, decorative plate, vases, and sprinkles of anise.
