Unseen Connections

This is an acrylic painting on canvas representing my interpretation of the magical mycorrhizal network. The underground connection between trees and fungus is a symbiotic relationship that allows trees and mycelium to communicate and exchange vital nutrients and signals to perpetuate their mutual survival, through a series of filaments connected to their roots. My intention was to represent the filaments and electrical pulses between these intelligent organisms, much like a nervous system or a brain sends electrical signals in mammals.
