This is a view of the Salt Marsh Restoration area on Randalls Island in New York City. I love how mysterious the city looks on foggy days and the consistent light allows for longer painting sessions. Here, I was particularly enticed by how the curtains of fall foliage frame the pathway, inviting the viewer to contemplate the contrast between the vibrant natural shapes and the moody architectural form of the Triborough Bridge.
